Camp Eagle Classic Mountain Bike Festival

Welcome to the largest Mountain Bike Festival in Texas: the Camp Eagle Classic Mountain Bike Festival presented by Kerrville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Richardson Bike Mart, and Hill Country Bicycle Works. With over 1200 people in attendance, this event keeps getting better.

In addition to hosting mountain bike cross country events, the Camp Eagle Classic brings a full weekend of activities. The race appeals to families as well as a wide variety of outdoor adventure participants.

Camp Eagle boasts a sprawling 1400 acres of the Texas Hill country; a spring-fed crystal clear river pumping 1.2 million new gallons of water every day. Tackle miles of pristine single track, clean limestone cliffs with bouldering, top rope, and lead sport climbing options.

Land Access/Day Use Fee - $10.00 per person ages 3+ to get onto property, ALL WEEKEND ACCESS.

Backpacking and hiking in Texas may not be well known, but Competitor magazine declared Camp Eagle as "Texas' best adventure destination." With 1400 acres of rugged Hill Country along with natural caves, a quarter mile of 150' tall limestone cliff, and 1.5 miles of the crystal clear Nueces River, Camp Eagle has more natural resources jammed into one space than most camps across the nation.

Please note, this is a USA Cycling and a Texas Mountain Bike Racing Associa-tion (TMBRA) event. USAC license required for Cat 1 and Pro riders. Non-USAC members need to buy a $10 one day license. Each racer must have a valid ID - no exceptions.


Teams wanting a space in the Team Area must contact the Race Director at One vehicle per Team Area only.


The trails will be open daily starting August 15th, 2014. It is day use riding only, no overnight accommodations will be available. ALL GUESTS MUST STOP BY THE CAMP EAGLE OFFICE UPON ARRIVAL TO CHECK IN AND SIGN WAIVERS.

Come learn, play or show off your skills on the cliff. Ropes, harnesses, shoes, helmets, it's all at the wall. Staff on site to teach and belay. (Jr Event band or Camp Eagle activity band)- Open Saturday 1-5 pm

Festival Velopalooza

Huffy Toss, Huffy Ghost ride, Slow Race, Bicycle Limbo, and other things we may come up with!
Saturday 2:00 pm. FREE event!!

Costume Crit

Registration closes at 2:45 pm.
The racers start at 3:00 PM- $5 entry
This is a short race around the Expo Area- 4 minutes plus the bell lap. All bikes are allowed. Costumes are mandatory. Recognition applause to the first across the finish line and to the best costume (spectator's choice).

Adult/Junior Team Time Trial

Adult/Junior teams race against the clock over courses from 1.5 to 4 mile in length. Teams are made up of at least one junior rider with a parent, older sibling or friend. Classes are determined by the age of the youngest rider. Clock stops when both teammates cross the line- Don't drop your teammate!!
Classes: Boys & Girls 10 & under; Boys & Girls 14 & under; Boys & Girls 18 & under.
Registration closes at 3:30 PM. Race starts at 3:30 PM.- $7 entry fee

Texas Championship Super D presented by Flat Rock Ranch

This is a hybrid of downhill and cross-country with very little uphill. The course is devoid of jumps, is not extremely technical and has a flat finish. It is a mixture of fast fire road, rocky jeep road and single track. The course is 2 miles and drops 350 feet. This is a mass start event per category- Each category starts every 5 minutes beginning at 5:00 pm - $10 entry fee

I’m Not a Racer XC Ride

…But they drag me to these events every other weekend and there is finally an event for me!! For those that want to ride with others in a low key environment and take home a ribbon, this is your event. Everyone is a winner! Two distances offered, the 10 & under Team Time Trial course (1.5 miles) or the 10 & under XC course (3 miles and a little more technical). 6:00 PM FREE event!!

Cross-Country Race

The Camp Eagle Classic is the 11th race of the Texas Mountain Bike State Championship Series.
Registrations close 30-minutes before each class's start
Entry fee- $30 before pre-reg date/ $35 race weekend
Junior 13-18- $15/ Junior 12 & under- $10

High School Racing

High School racers will race as either A (Cat 1), B (Cat 2) or C (Cat 3). You will start with the TMBRA class and race scorers will divide out for High School scoring

Collegiate Races - Saturday & Sunday

Cheer on your favorite school. Teams from Baylor, Texas A&M, UT and Texas State, and others made appearances last year.
Collegiate racers have an option to compete in each individual event or all three as an omnium. The events are the Short Track XC, the Super D, and the Cross Country event. The collegiate athletes will compete during the festival events but have their own start times.
